Las Vegas signals: the next three weeks
The Las Vegas week is written by the calendar. Below is the researched calendar for the next three weeks, refreshed every Saturday from the same source the cards read, grouped by week, with where each item lands and what to watch. Nothing here is measured on the Misd network; it is the public calendar, read carefully.

How does the calendar land in Las Vegas?
A large convention fills the Strip corridor and the hotels and restaurants within a cab ride of its hall: the Las Vegas Convention Center pulls toward the north Strip and Downtown; Mandalay Bay and the Venetian Expo pull toward their own ends of the Strip. Neighborhood businesses in Summerlin, Henderson and the southwest usually feel a big show as a quiet week, because locals and their visitors drift toward the Strip for a few days.
Arena and stadium nights, residencies and races are evenings and weekends, not weeks. They move the blocks around the venue for hours, not days, and they decide which nights a bar or late kitchen near them should staff up. Festivals and fairs in the parks are the opposite: they belong to the neighborhoods and barely register on the Strip.
What should an operator do with this?
Read the week, not the headline. Two overlapping large shows make a heavy week for the Strip and a light one for the neighborhoods; one medium show on a quiet week is the week to run the mid-week offer. A business on Pulse gets this read against its own address every Sunday, as cards, with one move each. This page is the city-wide version.
What to watch, by kind
- show large
- Fills the corridor around its hall for the run of the show. Strip and Downtown: staff up and hold reservation slots for locals. Neighborhoods: expect a quieter week and aim offers at the locals who stay.
- show medium
- Moves the hotels and blocks nearest its hall for its run. Elsewhere, a normal week with a few more out-of-town tables.
- festival
- Belongs to the park and the neighborhood around it for the weekend; barely registers on the Strip. Worth a staffing note if you are within a short drive.
- night
- Hours, not days: the blocks around the venue fill before and empty after. The nights a bar or late kitchen nearby should staff up.
