How Misd works
Updated September 18, 2026
How does Misd find the people you crossed paths with?
Misd is a social app that helps you find the people, places and Moments you care about, long after you've left them. This is how the pieces fit.

Moments®
A Moment is recorded when you and another Misd user were at the same place at the same time. Later, you open the Moment, see the other people who were in it, and reach out. Both people need Misd; if they don't have it, nothing about them exists in the app. That's the whole mechanism, and it's why the answer to "how do I find them" becomes "open the Moment."
Buzz
Buzz is the feed. It's built from the people you actually cross paths with and the communities around you, so what you see is local and real rather than whatever a global algorithm guesses. Post photos and video and they land in front of the people around you.
The answer to "how do I find them" becomes "open the Moment."
Messages and sharing
Share posts with friends and message the people you come across. Conversations are private, between the people in them.
Clout and Karma
Karma points come from being you: showing up, posting, connecting. Clout is your local leaderboard, right on the Moments map. Climb it for unlocks now and, later, for exclusive items and rare events.
Privacy, plainly
Misd holds less about you than you'd expect and doesn't sell it. Moments are about overlap, not tracing a route, and you can hide the locations you don't want Moments at. Businesses on the Misd network see crowds, never people.
Getting in
Misd is invite-only right now, on iOS, with Android coming. Get a code on misd.co and bring your friends; the more people around you who have it, the more Moments there are to open.
