Misd was made for you
Misd believes in culture and shared experiences

Misd is a social app that allows users to find the people they've crossed paths with long after they've left each other.
It was founded in 2023 with the goal of being a place where communities can really connect with one another. Ever since we've started, we've been looking at new and creative ways of pushing that goal past those limits. We want to create worlds and experiences that bring people closer together.
You are not another algorithm.
Misd is for real people and real experiences. The future we care about is in-person and human connection. Misd believes that. We believe that.

Executive team

What does Misd make?
Two things, on one network. The Misd app is for people: it lets you find the people you crossed paths with at a show, a bar, a gate, a park, after the moment has passed. Pulse is for the businesses those paths run through: a short briefing every Sunday about the crowd around one address, or around one online storefront, written in plain words with an action at the end.
The two sides never trade places. People on the app are never shown to a business, and a business is never shown a person. Pulse reads crowds: how a neighborhood moved, when a block filled and emptied, which event pulled a street one way or the other. It is marked on every card whether that reading is Researched, Benchmarked or Measured, so the owner knows what kind of evidence they are holding.
Why build a business product from a social app?
Because the question owners ask us is the same one our users ask, from the other side of the counter. A user wants to know who was in the room. An owner wants to know who was on the street. Both are asking about the same crowd, and until now the owner had the worse tools: a till that records who paid, a listing that records who searched, and nothing at all about the people who walked past.
We think the small places are where culture actually happens, and most of them run on instinct because the alternative was a dashboard priced for a chain. Pulse is our attempt to give the person behind the counter something they can read on a Sunday, in ten minutes, and act on Monday.
How do we treat the people on the network?
Carefully, and the rules are the same on both sides. Nothing about a person leaves the app. Pulse works from aggregates and from public signals such as event calendars, hours, openings and closures. A card never names a person, never points at one, and never tells a business where a specific customer went. If a crowd is too small to read as a crowd, the card says so and stays general rather than guessing.
The same discipline applies to what we say in public. We do not put a real customer's numbers on a marketing page. Our sample cards describe a kind of business, a real place and a real calendar, never a named brand. If you want to see a real card, the first one about your own business is free.
Where are we, and who is behind it?
Misd was founded in 2023 and is based in Las Vegas, which is also where Pulse learned to read a week: a city where a convention, a residency and a fight can move the same block three different ways in one month. The executive team is above. The people building the product are small in number and reachable, and most of the copy on this site was written by the founder.
Talk to us
Partnerships, press, or a question about a briefing: support@misd.co. We are based in Las Vegas.
If you run a business and want to see what a card says about your own address, you do not need to write to us first. Create an account, claim the business, and the business read is free. If you want to talk to someone before that, the same address reaches a person, not a queue.
