Questions owners ask before they start

Plain answers about what the briefing is, what it costs, where the data comes from, and how the cards work.

The basics

What is Misd for Business?

Misd for Business is how the Misd network works for people who run a physical place. Today that means one tool, Pulse: a weekly briefing about what changed around your business, why it matters, and what to do next. It lands every Sunday.

What is Pulse?

Pulse is a set of cards. Each card answers one question about the crowd around your business: where visitors came from, when they show up, who you're missing, what's coming next week. The cards refresh every Sunday and each one comes with an action you can take or ignore.

Who is it for?

Anyone with a location: a restaurant, a shop, a hotel, a venue, a gym, a chain, an event. If people walk through your door, the briefing is about them.

Do I need the Misd app to use it?

No. The briefing runs in your browser at pulse.misd.co. The Misd app is the consumer side of the network; your briefing is built from what that network sees, in aggregate.

Do I need a data analyst to read it?

No. Every card gives you a clear answer, the metrics behind it, and one action. It's made to be read on a Monday morning with a coffee, not deciphered.

Plans and pricing

Is there a free version?

Your first card is free. Create an account, claim your business, and you get one real finding about the crowd around it before you pay anything.

What do the plans cost?

Pro is $699 a month, or $5,988 a year ($499 a month). Elite is $1,600 a month, or $14,400 a year ($1,200 a month). Founders Club is a 36-month agreement at $19,999 a year, limited to twenty-five organizations. Enterprise is priced per group; talk to us.

What's the difference between Pro and Elite?

Pro is sixteen weekly cards for up to two locations or events. Elite is twenty-six for up to ten locations: the full Pro set plus five network intelligence cards, five social intelligence cards and three custom cards, with premium support. Both refresh every Sunday.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes. Paid plans have a 7-day money-back guarantee. If the first week isn't useful, tell us and we refund it.

Can I cancel?

Month-to-month plans cancel any time and end at the close of the period you've paid for. Annual plans run for the year. Founders Club is a three-year agreement.

Do cards cost extra as they get smarter?

No. When stronger intelligence becomes available for a question, your card upgrades automatically on a future Sunday. There's no fee for that. It comes with every plan.

Data and privacy

Where does the information come from?

From the Misd network first: communities of people who cross paths, their shared interests, and the world around them. Public signals like events and weather are layered on. We own our own signals; if AI vanished tomorrow, the briefing would still be here.

Does it track individual people?

Never. Briefings measure the shape and type of crowds: how many, from where, from when, what they're interested in. A group too small to be a crowd doesn't appear at all. Data policy and regulation sit with us, not with you.

Is my business's data shared with other businesses?

No. Your briefing is about the area around your business, built from aggregate signals. Nothing you enter about your business is shown to anyone else.

How the cards work

Why is one card PULSE I while another is PULSE III?

Levels are earned per question, not per account. Each card uses the strongest intelligence available for its own question, so a Measured card can sit right next to a Researched one. That mix is normal.

Can I upgrade a card myself?

No, and you never need to. When stronger intelligence becomes available for a question, Pulse uses it automatically on a future Sunday refresh.

When do my cards refresh?

Every Sunday. Your briefing header shows the date of the next refresh.

Why didn't a card change this week?

Because nothing stronger arrived for that question. Pulse only rewrites an answer when the evidence changes. An answer that holds is information too.

What does “below our audience floor” mean?

A figure only appears when enough different people are behind it. When a view doesn't meet that minimum, Pulse holds it back rather than showing a thin number. No plan or setting lowers the floor. The view returns as soon as enough people are behind it.

Does Pulse track individual people?

No. Pulse measures audience patterns as a whole, never individual identities or paths. No individual's information is shown or sold to businesses, at any tier, at any price.

Are Measured findings estimated?

No. Measured intelligence is counted, not modeled. When Pulse can't measure something, the card says so instead of filling the gap with a guess.

Why did Pulse widen an area or time period?

When a view is too specific to report responsibly, Pulse widens the time or the area instead of hiding the answer: a quiet 2 AM hour becomes “late night”, a quiet ZIP becomes its metro. The label always says exactly what you're looking at.

Can a published briefing change later?

No. Once published, a briefing never changes. What you show your team this month is what the record says forever.

Where does Pulse get its information?

Three places, matching the three levels: verified public research about your market, anonymous benchmarks across similar businesses, and Misd activity around your address. Every card's badge tells you which one produced its answer.

What's the difference between my weekly cards and the monthly edition?

Cards answer single questions and refresh every Sunday. The monthly edition connects the month's biggest findings into one story and turns them into a focused checklist of moves worth making.
