What "crossed paths" means on Misd
Misd uses a technology called Moments®. A Moment is recorded when you and another Misd user were at the same place at the same time. Not the same city, not the same week: the same place, the same time. Later you open the Moment and the people who were in it are there.
What you see
The Moments on your map and the other Misd users who were in them, on their terms. From there you can message them, share posts and, if you like, find them again next time. Buzz, the feed, is built from the people you actually cross paths with, so it's local by construction.
The only rule is that you were both there.
What you don't see
Where anyone is right now. A route. Anyone who isn't on Misd. Anyone at a location they've hidden. Misd is about the overlap that already happened, not about following someone around.
Who it's for
Anyone looking to meet someone. The person from the train, the founder from the conference, the regular at your café, a friend for the new city, someone you'd like to see again. Misd doesn't pick the reason for you. It's an entertainment and community app, and the only rule is that you were both there.
Getting in
Misd is invite-only right now, on iOS, with Android coming. Get a code on misd.co. Because both people need Misd, it gets better with every friend you bring; that's the honest trade of an app built on real-world overlap.
