Privacy Policy
Pulse by Misd · Effective October 16, 2026 · Version privacy-2026-10-16
This policy is the same for every Pulse client, on every plan, at every price. It covers pulse.misd.co and the Pulse service, operated by Misd LLC, Las Vegas, Nevada.
We measure crowds. Never people.
That sentence is the whole policy, and this page is it in detail. Pulse shows you your area's crowd as an aggregate. It never shows you a person. We enforce minimum crowd thresholds throughout the service, and a signal that is too thin to be safely aggregate is not shown to anyone, at any tier, for any amount of money.
What we collect from you
- Account: your work email and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider).
- Business details: the venue, event, or brand information you submit when you claim a property, plus publicly available facts about that business used to personalize your intelligence.
- Billing: payments are processed by Stripe. We store your subscription status and plan. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Usage: standard technical logs (pages served, errors) to keep the service working.
- Partner attribution: if you arrive through a partner link, we store a small tag in your browser and on your organization record so the partner is credited. It contains a source name, never personal tracking across other sites.
Email from us
We send account and service email: claim decisions, billing notices, your Sunday edition and monthly digest. If you claim a free first card and do not take a plan, we may also send up to three short follow-up notes over the following ten days about reading your card and what a plan adds. Every one of those carries a one-click stop link, and stopping them never affects your account email.
What powers the intelligence
Pulse cards are computed from aggregate activity signals generated by the Misd community platform, combined with the business facts you provide and public information about your business. Before anything reaches a card:
- signals are grouped to area level, never to a person;
- minimum crowd thresholds are enforced so small groups cannot be singled out;
- outputs are checked so that card text only contains verified, aggregate-level facts.
Misd community members are not identified, listed, or individually described to Pulse clients under any circumstances. Their privacy is not for sale, and this section does not change based on how much a client pays.
Who we share data with
We use a small set of processors to run the service: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (hosting and delivery), Google (model processing of business facts and aggregate statistics only), and Resend and Brevo (email delivery). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We do not sell personal data. We disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies and local storage
We use local storage for your sign-in session and the partner attribution tag described above. On our public marketing pages (misd.co and misd.co/business) we use HeyCatch for anonymous page and click analytics; it is not loaded inside the product and we never send it who you are. No third-party advertising trackers.
Retention and deletion
Account and business data is kept while your account exists. If you close your account, or email us asking for deletion, we remove your account and business data within 30 days, keeping only what billing and tax law requires us to keep. We also keep de-identified, aggregate learning: for example, that a kind of suggestion helped a share of businesses in a category and market. Those records are detached from your account when it closes and carry no name, address, figure or anything else that could identify you or your business.
Changes and contact
We will post any changes here and email you about material ones. Questions or deletion requests: support@misd.co.
